The Saturna Island dock, destroyed by fire in June 2003, is finally finished and fully operational.

The completion of this project is a relief to Saturna Island residents and their government representatives, BC Senator and fellow Saturna Island resident Pat Carney and Saanich-Gulf Islands MP Gary Lunn, who over the past two years have lobbied the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) for a new dock.

The Department of Fisheries and Oceans will now turn responsibility of the dock over to the Capital Regional District.
